Ever been obsessed with a band so much that just by the thought of seeing them perform live your knees shake and you feel like you want to pass out from excitement?
Have you ever been obsessed with a band so much that you have dreams of partying with them backstage, and then you wake up only to realize it was all a big fat lie?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then consider yourself a fan!
After listening to "Use Somebody" from the Kings of Leon in the summer of 2008, I was... How should I say this? More than hooked.
The raspiness - I don't even think that's a word - and soulful voice of Caleb Followill drew me in like a fish to bait; and I haven't looked back since. Over the course of six years, I memorized just about every song they've recorded over their 15-year music span. I've also collected all of their albums and pretty much watched every single documentary of them.
The only thing left to complete my life so that I could really be considered a fan was to watch them perform live. And after six years of anxiously waiting... Drum roll please!
I'm going to see them this Friday at The Forum! Is this for real?
I'm still pinching myself to see if I'm still in one of those crazy dreams. Not only am I excited to see KOL rock the stage for the first time, but I'm also anxious at the fact that I'll be going to my first concert ever.
Yes, you read right. I've never been to a concert before.
Friday needs to get here sooner!
