I've been wanting to blog about weight and body image for quite some time now, and I think that this is the perfect time to do so because of a recent phenomenon that happened to me.
Well... I wouldn't really call it a phenomenon, but it's a huge deal if you ask me. I was recently invited to be a model and walk the runway for a fashion show here in Valencia.
Without thinking it twice, I agreed to be a part of the show. Partly because of the experience, and I think it would be pretty cool to feel like a real model for a day.
But that's not the reason why I said yes.
To be a part of a fashion show and walk the runway as a model is a huge milestone for me. This is the first time in my life I can truly say I feel comfortable under my own skin, and love my body for what it is - a beautiful size 10!
It wasn't an easy road to get there. Like most women, I struggled with weight and body image.
It took me a while to get this sense of self-love and confidence, but nonetheless, here I am. And I will walk that runway in a couple of weeks and embrace what my momma gave me.
