Are you a fan of tennis? If yes, you must know most of the famous tennis players of all time! Since the start of the year, fans look forward to the main Grand Slam events that are annually held, during which the most famous tennis players are in play. Whether it is the Australian Open, French Open, US Open or Wimbledon, they get the chance to see their favourite tennis players. Below are some of the best tennis players of all time.

Andy Murray

Famous British tennis( player, Andy Murray is also known as Sir Andrew Barron Murray. Born in Scotland, he represents Great Britain in many tennis events. He is already a three-time Grand Slam winner, two-time Olympic champion, Davis Cup champion and winner of the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals. At the age of 12 and 14, he won at the Orange Bowl twice, a prestigious event for junior players. He is described as "unbelievably competitive" by Leon Smith, his coach from 11 to 17.

Since then, he was unstoppable! He became a professional tennis player in 2005, being the youngest Briton to play in the Davis Cup in March of that year. Afterwards in 2006, he became the British No. 1 when he ended Tim Henman's 7-year run. In 2007, he was among the top 10 tennis players in the world, reaching the 4th round of the Australian Open. During the US Open in 2008, he won the first major final against Nadal.

During his career, he went through several wins and losses as he participated in different events. He also suffered several injuries from time to time. Recently in 2018, he unfortunately withdrew from the Brisbane International and Australian Open because of a hip surgery.

Serena Williams

The first time was in 2002. Her career started in 1995 just after she turned 14. She made her debut in October 1995 at the Bell Challenge in Quebec.

During the 1999-2001 period, she became a Top-10 player as she won her first professional singles title when she defeated Amélie Mauresmo at the Open Gaz de France in Paris. After a rich career, she recently won the Australian open in 2017. She was also pregnant during that year in April, due to which she missed the remainder of the season. Recently on the 11th of February 2018, she participated in the Fed Cup in Asheville where she lost 6-2 6-3 to Lesley Kerkhove and Demi Schuurs.

Roger Federer

Meet the unrivalled Roger Federer, a Swiss tennis player born in 1981. He is currently ranked as world No. 1 in men’s singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Over the years, he has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles, which is the most for a male player in history! Since his debut in 1998, he consistently ranked in the top 10 from October 2002 to November 2016, in which he re-entered after his victory at the Australian Open in 2017.
