What is KIIT and KIITEE?

The KIIT Entrance Examination or KIITEE is an All India Entrance Examination which is conducted annually by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology or KIIT University, located in Bhubaneswar for admission to their courses. This is for the admission processes of both undergraduate and graduate courses including Engineering, BCA, M Sc, M. Tech, MCA and BBA Courses. Scoring marks above the prescribed cutoff is mandatory for students to take admission in this university. The entrance examination is conducted in 120 centres in different parts of India. The application form is made available to interested candidates from December onwards. Firstly, all interested students must check their eligibility for the courses they are interested in.

Important Dates:

Application forms available online from: 20th November 2017
Last Date to complete and submit Application Form: 31st March 2018
Last Date to host Admit Card online: 05th April 2018
Online Entrance Examination: 15th April 2018 - 24th April 2018
Result Declaration: 05th May 2018
Admission Counseling starts from: 20th May 2018

Application Procedure

Application Forms are available online. However, they are not available offline. Interested candidates can apply online at either www.kiitee.ac.in or www.kiit.ac.in or they can download it from the website. In order for your form to be accepted, you should complete the following steps:

-Go through the KIIT website: http://www.kiitee.ac.in or http://www.kiit.ac.in
-Click on the link ‘Online Application’
-Browse the Instructions and fill the form
-Complete the Online Application Form, fill in the details and submit
-Upload your passport sized Photograph, Scanned Signature & Class 10th Mark sheet/Certificate

Admit Card

Admit Cards will be available online on the website from 01st April 2018 to 05th April 2018. In any case whatsoever, if your Admit Card is not available by 5th April 2018, candidates have the option to register a complaint with KIIT anytime between 6th and 10th April 2018 with the requisite details.
The candidates are expected to download their admit cards from the website and carry the printed copy with them for their examination.

KIITEE Structure:

The KIITEE for regular students will consist of 120 objective type multiple choice questions. The time duration of this paper is a maximum of 3 hours. The questions are from different subjects like Class 12 Physics, chemistry and Mathematics and 40 questions are asked from each subject.This distribution differs from course to course.

However, The Entrance examination for lateral students comprises of 120 multiple choice questions. The duration of this test is also 3 hours. The questions can be from disciplines such as mathematics, engineering mechanics, basic electrical engineering as well as branch specific questions. Sixty questions will be mandatorily asked from a specific branch and the remaining disciplines will get 20 questions from each one of them.

Physics

Chemistry:

● Organic nitrogen compounds
● Solid states
● Electro chemistry
● D and F block elements
● Ethers and alcohols etc

Interested candidates can figure out a number of guidebooks and material online. NCERT Guides will also prove to be very useful for this entrance examination.

Study Plan of KIITEE

Each candidate is expected to devise their own study plan as per their strengths and weaknesses. However, thorough preparation is imperative. Most importantly, you should go through sample papers and previous year question papers. This will give you a very precise idea about what to expect during the test. The lateral entry students can refer to their textbooks as well as class notes.
